Woensel - Architecture Contest

How can Architecture change the image and identity of a deprived neighborhood and give the people an opportunity to meet with a diverse range of people?
This is a design for a contest about a community center/ restaurant run by volunteers in Woensel, a neighborhood in Eindhoven with one of the highest crime and poverty rate in the Netherlands.
What does the state of a neighborhood do to people? When someone’s environment looks abandoned by human attention and decayed its easier and natural to adjust your behavior to this.

Give people an easily accessible place where they can build meaningful connections with people and create a positive reference to their environment. This behavior could change exponentially.
It will show what attention to your surroundings can do for the personality of a neighborhood.
